Rashad Rastam (b. 1991) is a multidisciplinary creative producer, whose work assimilates a diversity of cultural influences culled from the highs and lows of American life.

He graduated from Ridley High School in 2009, received his Associate Degree in Business Administration at Delaware County Community College in 2012, and continued to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree for Art Direction in Advertising in 2014 at Temple University.

In 2012, Rastam founded Dahsar, the contemporary merchandise production brand and creative advertising studio.

My experiences working in retail, marketing, advertising, non-profit, the art world, podcasting and coffee alongside with the street fashion, footwear and menswear industries, both as an entrepreneur and consultant for both small and corporate brands, has given me a unique perspective on business and consumer psychology. I am at my best coming up with ideas to connect ‘cool’ to corporate, bridging gaps between small and large brands, and executing on creative that means something to the audiences who matter most.

Dahsar means simpler times.

In 2018, Rastam created Wear Many Hats, a podcast where he crosses paths with many different creatives from other industries to take on different topics such as pop culture, music, fashion, and art within their craft.

Rastam lives and works in Brooklyn, New York and sometimes Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

You can learn more about him on Instagram where he posts his photography of weddings, events, and culture, all on film.

I have been interviewed by Creative Director, Rich Tu, on his podcast First Generation Burden, featured on coolstuff.nyc, and Post Punk for our collaboration with Commercial Type and Peter Saville.
